" Keep away from Pumpkinhead, unless you’re tired of living, His enemies are mostly dead, he’s mean and unforgiving. Laugh at him and you’re undone, but in some dreadful fashion, vengeance he considers fun, and heplans it with a passion. Time will not erase or blot, a plot that he has brewing. It’s when you think that he’s forgot, he’ll conjure your undoing. Bolted doors and windows barred, guard dogs prowling in the yard, won’t protect you in your bed. Nothing will, from Pumpk"

The atmosphere has that sense of eeriness and the scares and killings(not relying on cheap gore like the sequels did thankfully) are genuinely creepy. Pumpkinhead is wonderfully played by Lance Henrikssen, the monster does look good and moves methodically while having that sense of dread. For my tastes, he was too ruthless in the sequels which diluted that sense for me. The sets look beautiful, and the mu” read more
"First viewing - Oct. 22nd I wrapped up my weekend with Pumpkinhead, which was mainly worth seeing for the creature effects. Given that Stan Winston directed it, that probably shouldn't surprise anyone. The story was fine and I appreciated that it wasn't obvious about who might live. It's nothing I'd go out of my way to watch again though. Currently streaming on Amazon Prime"
