“Who green lit this to be made this way? I guess New Line figured if it could contain blood and gore it would succeed, but even that is lackluster here.

There is 25 to 30 years worth of Mortal Kombat games and backstories to choose from and yet they introduce a brand new character named Cole who adds nothing to the film other than figuring out he can grow a poor man's version of Aquamans top.

The plot is weak. Shang T-Sung is killing off those who will fight in the Mortal Kombat tournament for Earth.... and we get no tournament??? Really?
