While Mad Max 3 doesn't quite have the cult status of its two predecessors, I would argue that it's by far the most fun of the three. This movie is pure 80's Action/Adventure amusement park escapism. The proceedings are beefed up thanks to a hefty American budget, Tina Turner on board chewing the hell out of every scene she's in, and Mel doing what he does best. A dismal misfire

"I ain't Captain Walker. I'm the guy who carries Mr. Dead in his pocket." Released four years after the superlative Mad Max 2, 1985's Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome should have been a home run which closed the Mel Gibson-starring Mad Max trilogy on a high. But alas, it simply was not to be. Although Mad Max 2 received a sizable budget boost, Beyond Thunderdome is the first entry in the series with Ho... read more

Of course, I had already seen this movie but since it was ages ago, I was really eager to check it out again. This movie usually doesn’t get much love but I alway thought it was actually pretty decent, at least, when I first saw it as a kid. Well, after rewatching the damned thing after all these years, unfortunately, I have to agreed that it didn't really work after all. I mean, the first part ... read more

" A lone warrior searching for his destiny...a tribe of lost children waiting for a hero...in a world battling to survive, they face a woman determined to rule. Hold out for Mad Max. This is his greatest adventure. Left for dead in the unforgiving deserts of post-apocalyptic Australia after defeating Lord Humungus' barbarian bikers in Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior, instead, former Main Force Patrol officer Max Rockatansky happens upon Bartertown: a remote market-town outpost in the middle of the "

Fictional Places You Don’t Want To Visit (205 movies items)

"Bartertown Bartertown is a remote market-town outpost situated in the midst of the Wasteland. Why you wouldn’t want to visit: A medieval like town, that runs on commerce and trade. It’s the closest you will ever get to civilization, out here. And there are very desperate people, who call this place home. “Two may enter, one may leave!”"
