This movie is a complete joke.

First of all, most characters are underdeveloped and cartoonish. We have the annoying and chaplinesque 6 years old kid, who likes to talk about the opression of peasants like a maniac political activist. When "mini Marx" is not yelling big worlds, he kicks trained soldiers in the butt, and escapes every "dangerous" situation like it was nothing. Hard to ... read more

A disappointing movie

Honestly, the first Zorro movie surprised me and I thought it was actually pretty good. Unfortunately, this sequel was rather disappointing. First of all, for some obvious reasons, Anthony Hopkins didn't show up this time and I missed him. Furthermore, the story was rather convoluted. Indeed, I thought it was rather boring to see Zorro and his wife constantly arguing about his retirement, it was s... read more

Decent sequel, but inferior to the first film.

The first film was very entertaining, with some well-choreographed sword fights and a witty script. The sequel while entertaining on the most part, is definitely inferior in comparison. What I did like about the sequel was the cinematography, it was very handsome like in the first film. The performances from Banderas and Zeta Jones are impressive , not so much the boy who played their son. (can't ... read more

Decent sequel, but inferior to the first film.

“The first film was very entertaining, with some well-choreographed sword fights and a witty script. The sequel while entertaining on the most part, is definitely inferior in comparison. What I did like about the sequel was the cinematography, it was very handsome like in the first film. The performances from Banderas and Zeta Jones are impressive , not so much the boy who played their son. (can't remember his name). The costumes were lovely The script wasn't too bad, but a little underdeveloped at times. I will confess I was disappointed in the sword fights, they seemed more like slapstick and a little too clumsy to my liking. The main flaw was the plot, it was a very good idea, but it felt rushed, and it felt as though the director was trying to cram too much into a simple storyline. I al” read more

My biggest disappointments in entertainment (142 tv items)

"To be honest, Zorro was never one of my favourites things, but I still liked the few episodes with a latin american dub I watched as a kid, and the first movie with Antonio Banderas too, in fact I consider it to be even better than the series because it doesn't overstays its welcome. This second one destroys it completely by ridiculing its characters and coming up with terrible villains, plus they added a kid for silly slapstick comedy instead of the cool fights from the previous one. Thank you "

Hard to take the henchman seriously when a kid can outsmart them!

Lets talk about the villains. We have all the evil europeans (THE EVIL FRENCHMAN)! Guess what? They want to destroy America (for reasons you know...). Banderas overacts every scene. It is like watching a silent era movie... C. Zeta-Jones and Banderas has no chemistry at all.

Second the flick is riddled with historical error” read more
