" Rewatch Viewing Date: July 5th Via: Blu-ray Plot: A brood of fire-breathing dragons emerges from the earth and begins setting everything ablaze, establishing dominance over the planet. Rating: 7.2/10 Why Did I Watch It? I've wanted to revisit this for some time, and recent posts about it on social media spurred me into seeking it out."
" Denton Van Zan "There's nothing magical about it. They're made of flesh and blood. You take out their heart you bring down the beast.""
"Reason for the future sucking: Dragons, thought to be long since extinct make their return, and start their own all you can eat and burn style buffet of destruction. The military fights back, and tries to nuke them off the face of the Earth. How can the plan, possibly not fail? Year it takes place: 2020"

Taking a harsh tone for such a fantastical movie, one might assume there's some allegorical point being, some sort of subtext; nope, this is just a weirdly somber movie about a world infested with dragons. It's a grim movie (sans one scene involving Star Wars), though there are enough bright spots to keep one invested. The action "

"If this movie was made today, with exactly the same leading men and exactly the same premise, it would be a summer-season tent-pole. It might not be better though: Reign of Fire, released to little fanfare in 2002, is a thrillingly loopy, classic B movie โ with dragons. Set in the not-so-distant future of a post-apocalyptic 2020 England terrorized by flying, fire-breathing beasts (who have awakened, ornery, from a eons-long hibernation), the film features an intense, shaven-headed Matthew McC"
