So this has been on my to watch list for awhile. I've seen it on peoples' lists about how awesome it is. I just never really got around to it. Since it's on Netflix I decided to go ahead and get on with it. Adrián García Bogliano has directed another movie which I found to be pretty enjoyable called Here Comes the Devil. "Bubba Ho-Tep with werewolves and with not so much humor in it. Nick Damici is once again really good as old blind Vietnam veteran investigating the killings and then fighting the werewolves. His character was an enjoyable asshole with nice sense of humor, and later on there were some nicely acted dramatic scenes with his son. Been his fan since watching the first Stake Land film. "

" I watched this because someone compared it to 'Dog Soldiers' (which is pretty much the epitome of low-budget werewolf awesomeness). Why did they do that? No, this is nowhere close to that level. It was slow and the only thing that was cool was the werewolves...eventually. I can't knock the acting, though. That main guy did hold my attention."
