Enjoyable enough adaptation of Robert Louis Stevensonโs book with a stellar cast including Michael Caine, Trevor Howard, Jack Hawkins, Donald Pleasence and Gordon Jackson all giving excellent performances in their respective parts, Hawkins in particular. "A very good movie version of Robert Louis Stevenson's novel with Michael Caine plus his dodgy Scottish accent as rebel Allan Breck - a man who is a true patriot yet he must face the realisation that the clans have now been effectively destroyed by the English after the battle of Culloden - the Scotland he loved and fought for no longer exists. The movie also benefits a lot from plenty of nice on-location photography from around Scotland. It gives the whole production more of an authentic feel. T"
