To be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect from this flick but since I always had a weak spot for Reese Witherspoon, I thought I might as well check it out. “To be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect from this flick but since I always had a weak spot for Reese Witherspoon, I thought I might as well check it out. Well, unfortunately, even though Witherspoon was as lovely as usual and was a perfect choice to play a gorgeous MILF, she was pretty much the only thing that did work in this movie, I'm afraid. I mean, it seems that they tried to combine 2 separate storylines (a single mom starting a new life in Los Angeles and 3 young movie professionals struggling in Los Angeles) but this mix never worked. Seriously, it felt like watching an overlong pilot for an average TV sitcom.
