Not too bad, but should be better

"Congratulations. You found a boat. In the middle of the ocean, of all places."

Ghost Ship is the very definition of "not too bad." To be sure, it's a heavily flawed film, marred by an over-reliance on clichés and a disappointing lack of genuinely chilling moments. It's essentially a haunted house film set aboard a derelict ocean liner, a premise that's so intriguing and brimming w... read more

Boring and Predictable

Waste of time, it's just how you would expect it to be: Weird things happened on a ship and some people get killed and then they finally find ghosts are on the boat and the ending is an uninteresting twist. Just like all Horror films.

To put it shortly, don't bother. The only bit that got me slightly interested was the opening, that's it, and the opening foolishly convinced be to ca... read more

Movie Reviews (1151-1200) (50 movies items)

" The first sequence is a brutal memorable massacre set-piece where crew and passengers on a cruise liner are slaughtered and would make anyone fear wires for a lifetime. The film then go over into a traditonal ghost story movie starring actors that are too good for this kind of drivel, especially Gabriel Byrne who must have gotten a good money fee to appear.Boring story where people are divided and then killed off one-by-one. Annoying ending "begs?" for a sequel. "

"OCTOBER 24: SPOILER ALERT!! I'm not wasting my time inserting HTML codes for this review, since the whole thing is going to spoil different parts of the movie. You've been warned. I love the first 5 minutes of this movie. The beginning is so deceiving and the filmmakers really succeeded in making you think you walked into the wrong movie. The elegant pink script font that comprised the open credits, the romantic music, the fancy ball...I'm pretty sure my first thoughts were "Where the heck is "

31 Days of Horror (Halloween 2015) (45 movies items)

"OCTOBER 16: One of my favorite horror movies, I love water-themed horror settings. I find them almost as isolated environments as space. I also love how completely deceiving the first few minutes are: nice pink scripted font used for the opening credits, a female singer singing ballads while couples waltz around the deck, laughing and smiling patrons. I think the first time I saw this movie, I was thinking Ghost had met a cruise ship. Oh, how wrong I was. This movie has one of the best opening s"
