Confessions is a pretty average movie, quite popsy, but the book is times better, as they always are. Believe me, there are several other better high-school movies out there and if you haven't seen this, you're not missing much!

"Pros: Not as bad as it could have been; not quite "good" enough to call a guilty pleasure, either, but it sort of feels like something I would have "loved" (or at least genuinely enjoyed) had it been released back when I was a kid or "tween"; in short, basically harmless (it's also partly set in New York City!). Cons: Harmless, but eyerollingly silly (especially the very special subplot about the alcoholic pop star); cringeworthy music by Lindsay Lohan, who also stars in this cinematic gem."
