"Brilliant, wonderful, a perfect noir film. Pacing, editing, setting, it's all great. This film is seamless. It's a real joy to watch. I've never been totally into classic noir, the genre has its highlights but I just haven't been one to lose myself in a hardboiled detective story. But putting the hardboiled detective in highschool changes everything- every cliche and trope that would bring me a little out of the immersion is unique and fresh and funny.
