JAPAN=Girls loved JAPAN...this tune is weird, but girls had so much fun on dancefloor, 8 years later I was packing my stuff, guitars and synths, over my car outside a big recording studio near Venice, a blond guy was driving a bicicle but he was not able to stop, brakes malfunction probably, and he fell on my amps. THE BEAT=I dislike ska, and reggae too, but you know...in 80's Italy all genres was pop, except metal. Plus this B'ham band sounds a little The Police to my ears.

DEAD KENNEDYS=In every 80's rock discos when it's time to slamdance, but we named it POGO, the start was Dead Kennedys

ACDC=As Dead Kennedys started the pogo time as ACDC started the metal hour, I jumped on the dancefloor on second toll

THE STRANGLERS=Heard the song 1000 times...knowing they was The Stranglers 5 years later by girlfriend sung in the shower...but my eidetic memory push my mind at 3, with my dad playing a Dave Brubeck QT live album...

ULTRAVOX=A 80'S Italian Rock DJ program had at least 4 Ultravox tunes, if he was a John Fox fan got 5, the singing in the shower girlfriend took me to the Vienna tour, and I liked it...

THE SMITHS=More or less like Ultravox, The Smiths had 2 or more songs played on Saturday night discos, when Metal hour was delayed all the metal kids sung HANG THE DJ...

DEVO=Girls not loved Devo, but FREEDOM OF CHOICE went Platinum and sold out tour, so Rock DJs started to pump the Akronites...I've seen that tour...TERRIFIC GIG !

VAN HALEN=I know the single was released on April 22 1979, but the promotional video vas shoot on Jan 12 1980...com'on dudes, can I make a list without good R'n'R ?
