Top movies I watched in 2016

Title is self explanatory

10/10

The first big movie of Dennis Villeneuve, a director that caught everyone's eyes in 2016 with Arrival and the upcoming Blade Runner 2049.
The opening of the movie with Radiohead's "You and whose army?" is a punch in the stomach, and the narrative and cinematography that follows is a masterpiece.
10/10

A movie that proved that it is more than nostalgia. A great noir, with visuals far ahead of it's time and the only place that we can see iconic cartoons of Disney and Warner side by side.
9/10

John Carney surprises us again, with an organic musical full of soul and love of these teens, and a great homage to the music of the 80s.

BTW, the original songs are GREAT.
9/10

One of the greatest surprises of the year. I was expecting a naive story, but got a story full of political views, self-understanding and words of freedom.
9/10

Jessica Chastain and Oscar Isaac proving why they are among of the most interesting actors of nowadays.
9/10

My favorite view of long time relationships (tied with "Before Midnight"), and one of my favorite Kubrick's movie. Not a 10 only because it drags a little bit after the great party sequence.
9/10

Before:
"Why the hell this movie always was in IMDB's top 250? Let me watch this crap."

After:
"...well, this is fun. This is heartbreaking. Those were reat songs! Oh... amazing conclusion!"
9/10

I have a weak for Paul Dano, and he is brilliant in his performance as Brian Wilson. The creative process behind Pet Sounds is fascinating, and Dano together with Cusack deliver a powerfull performance.
9/10

Here is Paul Dano again!

A fart story that will make you cry and laugh. Not kidding.
9/10

The bittersweetest love story that you will watch.
9/10

The Sloth scene....

THE SLOTH SCENE!!!!
9/10
8/10

The strangest, most fascinating and most disturbing thing I've watched in my life.
9/10

By far, Marvel's greatest movie until today. They masterfully managed to lead all these different heroes (and introduce a new one!) in one single movie. And the final battle between Captain America and Iron Man is simply breathtaking.
9/10

Would be a 10 if not for the "feel good Christmans" ending.
9/10

Still can't believe the Stallone didn't win the Oscar. Can't believe that Michael B. Jordan or Ryan Cogler weren't even nominated!
9/10

A movie about people getting rich with the housing bubble collapse must be boring, right?

WRONG

Great performances, amazing script and the right dose of humour and criticism together.
