GoodFellas (1990)

Note : I really love The Godafther part 1 and 2 but this one is even better. A great movie and the best gangster/crime movie ever made.

La Femme Nikita (1990)

Note : I'm not a huge fan of Luc Besson. He is a great director in the sense that the direction is always top notch but the stories as usually less than average.... But not with this movie! As usual, the visuals are great but this time, the story rocks too! A great moody movie. I just love it. Definitely, my favorite movie directed by Besson (F*ck Lรฉon!).
johanlefourbe's rating:

Total Recall (1990)

Note : I have watched all the movies directed by Paul Verhoeven (even the old Dutch ones) and this one is one of his best. Nice story, good actions scenes and competent special effects. A very entertaining movie. I loved it.
johanlefourbe's rating:

An Angel at My Table (1990)

Note : I thought it was a really fascinating and heartbreaking story. The directing by Jane Campion is very good and Kerry Fox gives a great perfomance (what has happened to her ?!?).
johanlefourbe's rating:

Edward Scissorhands (1990)

Note : This movie was the start of a very prolific relationship between Johhnny Depp and Tim Burton. The story is like a fairy tale, the movie looks gorgeous and Depp gives one of a kind perfomance. Definitely worth a look.

Note : Back in the 90's, I was a big fan of Takeshi Kitano and I watched almost all his movies. This movie was my favorite one of his. It was funny, entertaining, weird and very poetic at the same time. A typical Kitano flick.
johanlefourbe's rating:

Misery (1990)

Note : Honestly, I'm not a big fan of Stephen King, either the books or the movies. But this one is just very good. The story is spellbinding and Kathy Bates gives a really chilling perfomance. Definitely worth a look.
johanlefourbe's rating:

Miller's Crossing (1990)

Note : If you are a Coen fan, you ought to see this movie. The attention to the details, the weird characters, the dark humor, the slow tempo, it has everything. A very typical Coen flick. I really liked it a lot but it is an acquired taste.
johanlefourbe's rating:

Reversal of Fortune (1990)

Note : I thought the story was just so fascinating. The directing is very good as well and Jeremy Irons gives one of his best perfomances. Definitely worth a look.
