I have always been a fan of this movie but since I hadn't seen it for many years, I was really eager to check it out again. First of all, to be honest, I always had a hard time with Luc Besson's work as a director (without mentioning the even more underwhelming movies he has produced during the last decade). I mean, visually speaking, he is actually a great director, probably one of the most tal... read more

30 From 90: My Favorite Films From 1990 (30 movies items)

"She's crazy, she's French and she's a hitman. What more can you ask for from a crazy female assassin flick made in France? And for my money, the American version of La Femme, Point Of No Return (starring Bridgette Fonda as "Nikita"), while not that bad of a film, still does not compare with this original version (which, by this point in time, has become sort of a cinematic icon, as far as French action films go)."

A Complete Review of Luc Besson's work (38 movies items)

" Cast : Anne Parillaud, Jean-Hugues Anglade, Tchéky Karyo, Jeanne Moreau, Jean Reno What was it about? Convicted felon Nikita, instead of going to jail, is given a new identity and trained, stylishly, as a top secret spy/assassin. My two cents: I have always been a huge fan of this movie. First of all, to be honest, I always had a hard time with Luc Besson's work as a director. I mean, visually speaking, he is actually a great director, probably one of the most talented French directors "
