American Pie (1999)
The original and dare I say CLASSIC American Pie. A really good movie actually, and one of the only worth while installments in the series. All the characters are excellent, and it makes the movie more than just a teen sex comedy. This is what started the whole genre in my opinion.
The Cineast's rating:
American Pie 2 (2001)
The only other good one in the series. Not quite as good as the original, but still well worth a purchase, and will be remembered for awhile to come. A bit of a classic.
The Cineast's rating:
American Wedding (2003)
While this installment isn't bad my any means at all, it still fails dramatically to keep up with it's predecessors. A decent comedy, just no classic "American Pie Feel" to it.
The Cineast's rating:
Just the first of many unnecessary sequels. It's hard to say which one is the worst. Just ridiculous how they continue with it.
The Cineast's rating:
Not as bad as I was expecting, but still not good. A few good scenes here and there, but still killing the originals.
The Cineast's rating:
Haven't seen it yet, but it will most likely end up like the others.
The best unnecessary sequel yet. I was actually into this movie, and it seemed a lot less dirty than the others, and with a much better story too. Don't get me wrong though, this movie still isn't that good.
The Cineast's rating:
American Reunion (2012)
It isn't a very refreshing take on anything, nor are there any surprises. But 'American Reunion' still works as a nice tribute to the originals, in the way of all the cast members reuniting. I had some fun with it.
The Cineast's rating:
All of the American Pie films, including the unnecessary sequels.
