The Two Jakes (1990)

LA, 1948, eleven years after the events of the movie "Chinatown": Jack is now the best known private detective of LA and by a new case his past catches up with him. It's not necessary to watch "Chinatown" before but it does help. I liked this movie and its cinematography very much. But it stays behind the quality of its prequel. I also enjoyed watching the beautiful Medeleine Stowe and Meg Tilly. Jack Nicholson and Harvey Keitel gave a good performance as usual.

Fans of "Chinatown" should not miss this movie.
