I like Magnum Force a little bit more than Dirty Harry. The story is overall more interesting.

Dirty Harry (1971)

One of the coolest cops in film history. I especially liked the night shots and the music with the flute was nice. The story started interesting but at the end I lost a little bit the interest.

Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977)

Episode IV has a very high imdb rating, much higher as Episode III. The people, who rate Episode IV so high, must have watched it back in the 1970s or 80s. Today you can't seriously rate it that high without giving it a big fan-bonus. Compared to the new Episodes not only the special effects are worse, also the costumes, the sword-fights (the fight between Obi-Wan and Darth Vader was a joke) and even the performances of the actors. I was also disappointed of the story of episode IV.

Play Misty for Me (1971)

I know it's a classic, some even say it was ahead of its time. But for me it was a below average romantic thriller that partly felt (unintentionally) like a comedy or a parody of a thriller. Most Hitchcock movies are more thrilling. I also didn't like the soundtrack (except the deadly song "Misty"). But I liked to see Eastwood in one of his earlier films.

THX 1138 (1971)

An early Sci-Fi movie of George Lucas. But sooo boooring! I liked few elements in this movie, e.g. the automatic confessional box (the automatic answers were funny) or the flute music that played when THX1138 and LUH where together. I especially didn't like the long scene in the white room (I fell asleep).
