"The dwarves have lost their home, taken by the Dragons and begin a quest to get their home back."
Actually... dwarves are great goldminers and they love their shiny pennies and diamonds (so do big dragon Smaug) and they begin a quest to get their GOLD back. so whole point of this movie don't really match the book point. But the visuals are indeed great and monsters horrifyingly awesome.
