The Mauritanian (2021)
Points of anticipation: Directed by Kevin McCarthy and starring a long-absent Jodie Foster. Story sounds interesting enough.

Chaos Walking (2021)
Points of anticipation: This has been long in development and then with production issues. That's not always a good thing, but it seems to have everything else going for it with a strong action director (Liman) and cast, for starters. The trailer makes it look good enough, even if it sits along the style of "Hunger Games" and the like.

Trailer:
Zola (2020)
Points of anticipation: Looks nicely strange, with the nicely strange Riley Keough. Plus it's from A24, a studio with an incredible record for supporting good movies.

Antlers (2021)
Points of anticipation: Yes, it's been delayed before, but that doesn't always mean it's not good. I want to see a horror movie directed by Scott Cooper and I really want to see that movie with Kerri Russell.

Cherry (2021)
Points of anticipation: Russo Brothers getting a chance to show their chops outside of the MCU. Tom Holland starring, getting a chance to show his chops outside of the MCU and prove he is the next big thing.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021)
Points of anticipation: It's certainly not a guarantee this sequel will be great, but with Paul Rudd as one of the leads, I can bet it will be at least entertaining.

House of Gucci (2021)
Points of anticipation:. Ridley Scott, though in past years his name would have brought this much higher on the list. The cast is interesting.

Points of anticipation: After watching Gandolfini be an annoying shit in "The Deuce" I'm not as excited as I would like to be about this "Sopranos" prequel.

Trailer:
Blonde (2022)
Points of anticipation: As intoxicating as Ana de Armas is, casting her as Monroe is an odd choice... but he behind the scenes photos are making me change my mind a bit. Plus, Andrew Dominick a solid director (Assassination of Jesse James) but in need of an independent hit.

Points of anticipation: A good action/adventure is needed some weeks and Fuqua is a good director for that. Hopefully he keeps that reputation.

Points of anticipation: Oliver Stone is in serious need of an awesome movie, like the ones he made in the 80s and 90s. The synopsis sounds like it could be one... get back there, Stone!

Points of anticipation: This looks like a good old-fashioned hear-wrenches. Two supreme actors hopefully perfecting the craft. The director is unproven, so I can't place this one too high.

Points of anticipation:. Based off of one of my favorite video games. Not sure crazy about the casting, but I have confidence Ruben Fleischer will direct this to be the fun, adventure it should be.

F9 (2021)
Points of anticipation: In 2001 I would have had a hardy laugh if one were to tell me there would be 9 of these movies. That laugh would have been even hardier if one were to tell me I wanted to see it. But alas, here we are with cinema's most indelible guilty pleasure.

Points of anticipation: Peter Jackson coming out with another innovative documentary, looks awesome! I mean, it's the fucking Beatles with never-before-seen footage of making their last album. As long as the editing is top-notch this can't be bad.

West Side Story (2021)
Points of anticipation: Spielberg is directing, which seems strange, as it's a musical. I don't believe he has directed a musical. But hey, why shouldn't he experiment with new genres at his age? The only issue I see so far is Ansel Elgort as a lead... he is not Puerto Rican or Italian.

Points of anticipation:. These movies continue to be awesome blockbuster fun that is also not brainless. It helps to know the actors do their own stunts, making the action seem more real.

Dune (2021)
Points of anticipation: Denis Villeneuve is directing. To say he is on a hot streak would be putting it mildly. I don't really care about the Dune story itself, but I have high hopes he can make it beautiful and interesting and the epic it, maybe, deserves.

Obviously several of these were on last year's list due to that pesky pandemic. Hopefully the wait is still worth it for these.
Note: I will update when trailers become released and then again once I have seen a majority of the movies, to show the results.
Enjoy!
