"Notes: As usual with Pixar, the damned thing was just so gorgeous to look at and, especially during this pandemic during which many of us spent hours even days cloistered in our homes, it was really neat to spend some time in such a cute Italian village from the 50โs/60โs. "First viewing - June 19th The kiddo and I watched Luca together and we both really enjoyed it. It's well animated, richly detailed, and wonderfully funny and heartfelt. I got very caught up in the characters and their journey, and wound up loving it overall. It'd be an even better film, however, if Disney would allow their creators to go all-in on telling LGBTQ+ stories openly and honestly instead of forcing them to keep the truth in the background for fear of upsetting an ever-shrinking percen"
