Should have placed a hi-lo bet on how many head nods we'd get from boredom.
Stehako's rating:

I'm assuming this is not the role that got Daniel Craig cast as James Bond.
Derek Jacobi pulls off Bacon pretty great.
Derek Jacobi pulls off Bacon pretty great.

Stehako's rating:

Godzilla (1998)
Broderick is terrible, this is a classic example of big-budget movies gone wrong
Stehako's rating:

Antz (1998)
Dreamworks' attempt to compete with Pixar. Nice try, actually no, not even a nice try.
Stehako's rating:

About as fourth as good as the original. Not something to be proud of, but at least it was better than Return of Jafar.
Stehako's rating:

The Mask of Zorro (1998)
Zeta Jones is smoking! But that's about the only good thing in this remake
Stehako's rating:

Mercury Rising (1998)
Willis is the hero, Baldwin is the villain. Classic 90s Hollywood action.
Stehako's rating:

The Siege (1998)
A ridiculous film that's poorly acted and written but still somehow a good time.
Stehako's rating:

Small Soldiers (1998)
A fun idea for a kids movie but a little too violent for a kids movie
Stehako's rating:

54 (1998)
As cool as that club was, this film managed to not make it that, but an awesome acting job done by Mike Meyers.
Stehako's rating:

Mighty Joe Young (1998)
Theron is simply great with most performances even if this film was destined to strive for the common denominator.
Stehako's rating:

A talented young cast carries what could have been a classic outlaw film; but the themes and pacing forces this to be a mostly forgotten film and a classic Hollywood failure. I still enjoyed it as wannabe outlaw myself.
Stehako's rating:

Clay Pigeons (1998)
Vaughn and Phoenix collaboration number two for the year is less successful but this dark, barely comedy, still entertains enough to see a satisfying ending.
Stehako's rating:

Two Girls and a Guy (1998)
Great writing and improv acting. Downey Jr. is brilliant, the actress are good, too; but the editing and cinematography is dreadful.
Stehako's rating:

Armageddon (1998)
Hollywood cliche's at their best. The effects are cool and it's still harmless fun in the end.
Stehako's rating:

Twilight (1998)
One of the greatest actors of all time can't pull of this snoozy, lazy crime picture. He and Hackman are excellent, but nobody else really works in this and the story is so uninteresting it can't be helped.
Stehako's rating:

Zero Effect (1998)
Pullman and Stiller are great but I felt like it could have been a lot better.
Stehako's rating:

Return to Paradise (1998) (1998)
Vaughn and Phoenix turn in memorable performances while Heche seems to struggle so much in her role, more than her character. The final scenes are worth the unnecessarily slow build.
Stehako's rating:

Primary Colors (1998)
Entertaining incite into how an immoral politician can come to office. A farce loosely based on Bill Clinton.
