Different Seasons - Stephen King
I've read alot of books for Stephen King in the past, but recently I've begun to find him tedious and repetitive. His style rarely changes and he uses the same concept of Deus ex machina or mystic force to save his characters from some dire situation in all his stories.
Harvey's rating:
The Vampire Chronciles used to be my favorite while younger, but sometime after I finished rereading this novel I realized that I had had enough of Anne Rice and her obsessive fixation on furniture.
Harvey's rating:
The Black Angel - John Connolly_II
The Charlie Parker series is good, but eventually I got tired of the author's hinting at Parker's hidden nature and never ever revealing it.
Harvey's rating:
Map of Bones: A Sigma Force Novel - James Rollins
Entertaining but doesn't compel me to reread his work.
Harvey's rating:
The Alchemist: A Fable About Following Your Dream... - Paulo Coelho
This is the only story by Coelho I own. I have never before felt compelled to read his work, but then I did the idiotic thing of reading the prologue about Narcissus and got the impression that the story was going to be exciting.
It wasn't!
It was a disappointment.
This is one author I'm going to keep my distance from now on.

Harvey's rating:
Brimstone (Pendergast, Book 5) - Douglas Preston,Lincoln Child
It was more interesting while I was younger.
Now I cannot stand the sight of a novel by either of these authors.

Harvey's rating:
American Psycho - Bret Easton Ellis
I have heard alot of good things about Bret Easton Ellis and was eager to read some of his work. I only ever read this novel by him, but I was told that American Pscycho was his magnum opus.
Sadly, it was very disappointing.
It seemed that the author was padding the novel with trivial things to hide the fact that there wasn't much action going on.
There were entire chapters dedicated to petty trivia I was not very interested in.

Harvey's rating:
The Raven, The & Other Poems (sch Cl) - Edgar Allan Poe
I have read all his works and used to think they were very morbid and imaginative. But after expanding my reading lists I've found alot of other authors who outshine Poe in the morbid and horror department.
Harvey's rating:
Sense and Sensibility - Jane Austen
Very interesting read, but very dry as I have found out when rereading her works later on in college.
Harvey's rating:
This is a list of authors whom I used to find fascinating while I was younger but now am finding tedious and have lost their charm.
