A truly amazing motion picture, dwelling deep into the reality of the Italian Mafia. It goes nearly just as in depth as The Godfather, showing every possible aspect, including the necessary violence, the guys being paranoid around every corner, and the massive drug use involved. All the scenes are powerful, real and gritty, and Scorsese exposes his true identity as a filmmaker. No one else could've put a film like this together. Brilliant to say the least.
The Cinephile's rating:
A true roller coaster of a film filled with twists and turns behind every corner, and may confuse some. Scorsese manages to focus on the small details of everything that matters, sculpting an extremely beautiful Boston Venue with absolutely gorgeous skies and buildings, all the while still keeping up to crime/gangster standards, a little violence here, a little violence there. The pacing may seem to quick at times, but it really goes with the flow perfectly if you ask me. You will be highly entertained for 2 and a half plus hours, wondering what in the world will happen next, who you can trust, and just who is who? Martin Scorsese's Finest effort. A surprising modern day crime epic that remains successful.
"Cops, or criminals? when your facing a loaded gun, what's the difference?"
"You want them to chop me up and feed me to the poor. Is that what you want?!"

Back to the Future (1985)
The single most unique and inventive narrative I've witnessed on screen. It's family friendly, and all fun from start to finish. Beautiful visuals throughout, and a never-ending magical feel to make your imagination run endlessly. I know time travel has been attempted in motion pictures after this was made, but to no avail. Back to the Future is an undeniable classic, bursting with everything a good piece of cinema requires. Not to be missed, but instead to be cherished for the rest of your life. The pinnacle of Fantasy films.

Back to the Future Part II (1989)
In my humble opinion, the second 'BTTF' is as good, if not even better than its predecessor. The story takes a few different paths, but its all for the best, as the whole thing is such a magical little journey. Tell me one reason why this one is inferior to the original? ............

Halloween (1978)
I don't think my life would be the same, had not I seen this masterpiece. It really got me into horror films in general, and most importantly, what the REAL form of terror and suspense actually is. These days, you can throw legitimacy out the window when it comes to horror. That's why I can always travel back in time with my boy Micheal Myers. Just classic, brilliant work from all involved.
The Cinephile's rating:
The 29 films I have rated a perfect 5 stars, 10/10
Now, these films aren't perfect of course, as nothing in this world is, but they are as good as film can get in my opinion.
