101 albums I would take along to desert island
Self-explanatory...
Well, ok! This is not as self-explanatory as books list I guess...
Many of the albums on this list are such which I haven't heard in years and others are kind of albums which I love to listen almost monthly. There's no pattern.
Just a cross-section to my musical tastes, and with this I mean list merely scratches the surface, I suppose. I have become more and more picky about music, but I always wish to try new stuff. So this list is alive and can change...
Anyways, of every one of these albums have I some warm memories about. There's couple of compilations, and some live recordings but mostly these are all studio albums.
Ok. Now the albums are in order: First jazz albums, then foreign studio albums, then live recordings, compilations and classical compositions and finally finnish albums. All in alphabetical order.
Also now only one album from each artist only. Only exception being Thelonius Monk and Coltrane, from whome I also have one live recording.
Mahalo.
