Based solely on the pilot episode, this show isn't bad. It's got enough going for it that I want to see more so far. It's set in the '60's and I love shows (if well done/written) set in past times, has Christina Ricci, and is directed by Thomas Schlamme. Description:
Pan Am is an American period drama television series created by writer Jack Orman. Named for the iconic Pan American World Airways, the series focuses on the pilots and stewardesses of the airline as it operated in the early 1960s at the beginning of the commercial jet age.
Pan Am premiered on September 25, 2011. In November 2011, observers speculated the series was canceled while ABC insisted the show was still officially in production. The first-season finale aired on February 19, 2012. The time slot was subsequently filled by midseason replacement
