More like "Witchbored"...
A more apt title for 1986's Witchboard would be Witchbored, as this low-budget horror distraction from the 1980s promises a lot more than it delivers. The flick was written and directed by Kevin Tenney, who was fresh out of film school at the time and who lacked the abilities to create a genuinely effective chiller. Hence... read more

"Pros: Itโs a fun movie! Kathleen Wilhoite As Zarabeth! The bitchinest bubblegum popping, wisecracking, scene stealing psychic medium in California! Final Destination meets The Exorcist Stephen Nichols The 80โs music score. Itโs a very under appreciated horror from the 80โs. Tawny Kitaen "

"First viewing - Oct. 24th Here's a cinematic blind spot I'm thankful to be able to cross off my list. It's a very 80s horror film centered on the Ouija board, & a reminder to never mess with them. The cast, led by Tawny Kitaen, is umm okay I guess. This was my first time seeing her act that I can think of & she does a decent job. When I was young I knew her from music videos, but never knew her name until later when I didn't care who she was anymore so she doesn't mean as much to me as she may "

"Playing around with a Ouija board, a trio of friends succeeds in contacting the spirit of a young boy. Trouble begins when the evil spirit, Malfeitor, takes over one of their bodies. Cheesy dialogue, quirky characters, dream sequences and the odd gory kill make this a fine entry in 80's horror. With that said the heavy dialogue scenes bogs this one down a bit and keeps it from being quite as wild as it could have been. The kills are fairly minimal and spaced out leaving those dry parts to feel "

"June 4th Incredibly dated. Very light on atmosphere for a film centred around an Ouija board. "
