"I was hoping this was going to be a return to PT Anderson's earlier films with the period San Fernando Valley setting. But I just found the whole thing to be really flat and underwhelming, and I just couldn't get past why this kid was so obsessed with an older girl when it clearly wasn't her looks nor her personality."
" Notes: Unfortunately, pretty much like with âPhantom Threadâ, âInherent Viceâ and âThe Masterâ, even though I admired the work done, to be honest, the damned thing never really grabbed me though. For some reasons, it did remind me of the last movie directed by Quentin Tarantino, âOnce Upon a Time... in Hollywoodâ. Indeed, pretty much like Tarantino did, Anderson focused on a time and place which was really dear to him, the San Fernando Valley at the beginning of the 70âs. How"

“Since Iâm a huge fan of Paul Thomas Andersonâs work, I was really eager to see this movie. "6.1. Blu-ray Uusintakatselu. Vuoden ensimmäiseksi elokuvaksi viime vuoden ehdottomasti yksi kovimmista ensikokemuksista. Kova polte ollut uusinnalle, en ihan vuotta jaksanut, mutta sentään vuodenvaihteen yli."

" Director: Paul Thomas Anderson His 9th movie My 9th movie watched from the director PTA, one of my favorite directors of the last 30 years, directing a movie set in The Valley, it's going to be amazing. That trailer led me to believe it, the poster helps, the casting of Haim and Phillip Seymour-Hoffman's son , the supporting cast of Penn, Waits, and Cooper... it had everything going for it; yet, on my first viewing I am left disappointed. That, by no means, means it's a bad movie, in fact,"
