"Просмотр того фильма является настоящим эстетическим удовольствием. Нет ни единого лишнего кадра, реплики, всё движется плавно и красиво. Настоящий уют источает эта картина, первые минут 40, наверное, я улыбался, так всё это было приятно. А потом начался замес сюжета и мне ст"

"3.9. HBO Seuraava itselleni myönnettävä homma on, että Paul Thomas Anderson ilman muuta kuuluu suosikkiohjaajieni terävimpään kärkeen. Nyt tämä on helppoa, kun tältä olen jokaisen kokopitkän nähnyt, eikä enää tarvitse vahingossakaan miettiä, voiko nykyohjaajaa - ja herra varjele nuorta sellaista - arvostaa kovin korkealle. Aina olen kuitenkin suuresti pitänyt. Tuntuu perin oudolta, etten ollut katsonut There Will Be Bloodin valtavan teatterikokemuksen jälkeen tätä myöhemm"
“Have a lot of admiration for Paul Thomas Anderson and really like to love all his work, especially 'Boogie Nights' and 'There Will Be Blood', even finding a lot to admire with his weakest film ('Inherent Vice' from personal opinion). Also consider Daniel Day-Lewis a wonderful actor and that his triple Oscar wins are testament to that.
With 'Phantom Thread' being touted as Day-Lewis' swan song (very sad) and with so many award nominations, interest was incredibly high despite not being completely sold by the advertising. Seeing it yesterday when it first came out in my country, found it to be a truly outstanding film in every regard. One of the most beautiful and most interesting films seen recently and the standout so far of the 2017 films released here this year. Also consider i” read more
" Notes: Since I'm such a huge fan of Paul Thomas Anderson and Daniel Day-Lewis, I was obviously dying to watch this movie. Well, even though I really liked it, pretty much like his 2 previous directing efforts, it didn't really blow me away to be honest. I mean, from a technical point of view, it was quite mesmerising, every shot was gorgeous, the soundtrack perfectly set the mood and, as usual, Daniel Day-Lewis was just amazing and completely disappeared in this character. Eventually, what bo"

"In Paul Thomas Anderson’s first feature set outside of America, Reynolds Woodcock (Daniel Day-Lewis) is a London fashion designer for his sister Cyril’s (Lesley Manville) haute couture house. During his day off, he meets a cafe waitress Alma (Vicky Krieps) and hires her to become one of his muses, and eventually his wife. "Phantom Thread," channeling the visual aroma of Merchant Ivory films and the uneasy conversations of "Eyes Wide Shut," tackles the themes of relationships, love, and marri"
"Renowned British dressmaker Reynolds Woodcock comes across Alma, a young, strong-willed woman, who soon becomes a fixture in his life as his muse and lover. Romantic movies, as a genre, is fairly predictable in the aspects of love it portrays. This movie though breaks those molds, and ventures into a world rarely explored in the cinema. It's thrilling, humorous, romantic, scary and depressing all at the same time, and yet it feels real and rooted. Daniel Day Lewis excels once again as the moody"
