Since my wife and I both have a weak spot for Hugh Grant, I thought we might as well check his last comedy. Eventually, it wasn’t really good, I’m afraid. First Viewing It adds absolutely nothing new to the romantic comedy genre, but The Rewrite is a surprisingly well-made and well-acted flick. It does often revel in cliches, but the film's charming enough that it doesn't sink the ship. Recommended for a not too demanding evening. "
