What do you call a movie that is neither a sequel nor a prequel, yet the events take place both before, during, and after the events of the first movie? Answer, I have no fucking clue. Hated or Divisive Movies That I LOVED (47 movies items)"Often Hated For: Being a "sidequel" rather than a sequel whose mainstream popularity turned it from a beloved picture to one fit for derision, it's continued display of macho badassery, uber-violence, and sex, and its Spartan deficiency. Reason I Love It: Honestly, I thought it did everything the original did only better (give or take an element or two) while entirely complementing it. Loved the peek into Xerxes' evolution as a leader and the new hero Themistocles was a lot easier to relate to "
