Smile is an interesting case of already cliched tropes mixed in with a original story which would seem to be a standard case of stealing from other movies right? Films like The Ring and It Follows have already had stuff like this happen. "18.12. 2023 A psychiatrist has to figure out a way to deal with her personal traumas after witnessing a horrifying death of her patient. "Smile" isn't entirely original as a psychological horror film but it is especially respectable because it takes issue of mental illness seriously instead of being just another over the top slasher film. Monsters aren't scary because they are work of fiction but people who believe in monsters are scary because they are real."

"Besides some cool cinematography and A-train from The Boys this was way too generic. Sure someone just staring at you and smiling while they off themselves is creepy but I think that shitty Truth or Dare(?) kinda ruined that few years ago with the meme faces. I was so checked out when the runoff Titan AoT showed up."
