“Even though it does have a decent reputation, I have to admit that I have never been a huge fan of the ‘Insidious’ franchise but, since this 3rd chapter was available on Netflix, I thought I might as well check it out. Well, the fact that I didn’t remember at all the previous installments didn’t matter much since it turned out to be a prequel which, by the way, has become apparently one of the most popular gimmicks in the horror genre. In this case, it allowed them to bring back Elise who died in Chapter 2 (I think?) which probably did please the fans. Anyway, I have to admit that it was not bad but, like the rest of this franchise, I will probably forget most of it within a couple of days. Coming back on Elise, it was fairly annoying that she kept saying that she wouldn’t use he” read more
" FEBRUARY 6, 2022 INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 3 (2015, dir: Leigh Whannell) Cast: Dermot Mulroney, Stefanie Scott, Lin Shaye, Angus Sampson, Leigh Whannell My rating: 5/10 Watched on NETFLIX"
“The third chapter in the "Insidious" series takes an unexpected detour by establishing itself as a prequel to the events of the previous two films. "Esperaba que se respondiera el final abierto de la película anterior pero no es una precuela innecesaria que deja más preguntas."
"This is the best of the first three Insidious-movies which isn't really saying much because they're all very messy and scattershot. When they hit, they hit big, but they miss so often it doesn't really feel like it counts for much. Everything they do in this movie, much like the prior two, that pertains to their netherrealm nonsense is poor, but the spooks leading up to all that during the first 50 minutes or so are very good, even best in the series so far. If you can live with the not-very-wel"
"January 1st, 2018. Originally watched this as Insidious: The Last Key would arrive in theaters 4 days later, but I may have no intentions in watching the last entry. However, I found this enjoyable, but man - Dermot Mulroney really acted bad, Stefanie Scott and Lin Shaye did pretty good."
