“I wasn’t sure what to expect from this flick but, since it was starring Margot Robbie and since it was available on Netflix, I thought I might as well check it out. Well, it was one of the more obscure projects involving Robbie during the past few years and, apparently, it didn't seem to make much waves when it was released. Eventually, I thought it was a decent watch but, to be honest, it wasn't really much more than that, I'm afraid. I mean, it was well made and Margot Robbie and Finn Cole both delivered some solid performances but I have probably seen too many similar movies in the past and they certainly didn't add anything really interesting or original to the genre to make this movie stand out from the crowd. Rating: 6.1/10 Why Did I Watch It? I was interested in seeing this one after catching the trailer at the cinema, but it eluded me for a few years. I saw it was leaving Netflix and decided to jump on it."
"Format: DVD Viewing: 1st Thoughts: Interesting film that belongs to the same class as films like Mudbound and Lawless, however it's never as edgy as those two and kind of plays it safe in a more classic film sense. Margot Robbie does a great job here and I like seeing her in roles like this, as the outlaw Alison Wells. I feel like her character could have gone a little more darker and sinister than what was presented. Aside from that, the film's highest marks are on the visuals, beautifully lens"
