On second watch it hits home just how amazingly bizarre this film is. Only Neil Jordan could mix the topics of transgender and the IRA twice in one career and come out smelling of roses. Cillian Murphy is a riot in this flick and makes one hell of a convincing woman.

On the cover:
I have seen this DVD at “the stores” for many times but since its cover is in Japanese, I assumed that everything else is in the yellow language and so I procrastinated on buying it. I wasn’t really sure what to expect from this movie but since I always had a weak spot for Neil Jordan’s work, I was quite eager to check it out. Description: Breakfast on Pluto offers an endearing portrait of a transvestite whose playful ease in the face of one crucial experience after another makes him into what the Taoist sages call "a disciple of life." A young transwoman, Patrick "Kitten" Braden, comes of age in the 1970s.
