" The fantastic tale of an 18th-century aristocrat, his talented henchmen, and a little girl in their efforts to save a town from defeat by the Turks. Being swallowed by a giant sea-monster, journeying to the moon, dancing with Venus, and escaping from the Grim Reaper are only some of the improbable adventures. The film, featured earlier performances by Alison Steadman, Uma Thurman, Sting, and Sarah Polley, the film is notoriously known as one of the most expensive films, to be made at time. "

" First Viewing Viewing Date: June 8th Via: Amazon Prime Video Plot: An account of Baron Munchausen's supposed travels and fantastical experiences across late 18th-century Europe with his band of misfits. Rating: 7.9/10 Why Did I Watch It? This is one of Terry Gilliam's most iconic directorial efforts, and I always intended to watch it. After seeing one of my Letterboxd friends rate it, I decided to just rent it before I forget about it again."
"¿Es acaso la fantasía algo necesario en un mundo donde la ciencia está tomando cada vez más un rol incluso más prominente que la iglesia? Esta película dice que sí, en efecto."

"Re-watch - Dec. 2nd My daughter wanted to watch another movie after The Grinch, so I insisted we watch something non-Christmas-y and she chose this after I told her it's from the same people as Time Bandits. She wound up loving it, especially Eric Idle's character who made her laugh almost every time he spoke. I still dig the hell out of it as well."
