Sub-Zero / Kuai Liang

Sub-Zero's spine rip fatality always steals the spotlight from others. I actually think his MKII fatality is his masterpiece. People could learn a thing or two from this guy in how to break the ice.

Jax Briggs

Maybe I shouldn't like Jax's MKII fatality, after all, I experienced an accident where I too had my blood spray (or squirt in this case) all over the place. But the grimace on the face of an armless character makes it worthwhile. His MK9 fatality is a reboot of Sheeva's and Jax's boot does indeed take over.

Shang Tsung

The quintessential soul-stealing maestro of our times. His first fatality is just as effortlessly smooth as the man himself. Cops would have such a hard time catching him if he ever feels the urge to go on a murdering spree. His second fatality is a change of pace but it echoes the classic chestburster scene from Alien which can never be a bad thing.

Kenshi Takahashi

Cyrax's copter fatality was highly unrealistic to appear on this list like many of MK3's. Just where do they stuff all those arms and legs? Kenshi's variation on the other hand is a real treat to the eyes and the ears. I would've liked it more if the body was sliced up into thin pieces ready to be served on a plate instead of looking like it's been through a meat grinder.

Noob Saibot

Had his partner been anyone weaker or stronger, this fatality would have come to nothing. So I guess Noob Saibot was bright enough to save the hassle of finding a perfect match so replicated himself to get the job done.

Look Kano, I know you love stealing people's hearts. But this is just one step too far!

Mortal Kombat II - Arcade

The long wailing of the hapless character is what makes these fatalities not the end result.

Tanya

I like kink in my media, so it's no surprise Tanya's fatality is included on this list. You would never expect a man to perform something like this. It's gender signified which makes it all the more satisfying. I also love how her victim is stood upright throughout as if they agreed to this procedure all along. The men want to die erect.

Just as more deadlier weapons are being produced, the imaginative minds among us are looking for the most gruesome ways in which to maim their fellow man in various forms of media. Video games are certainly never going to be left out in this lifelong pursuit of the macabre.
