City Lights (1931)
The way I see it, this is Chaplin's best work, not only because it is Chaplin's greatest portrayal of the Tramp in his career, but because of its perfect mix of hilarious and intelligent slapstick comedy and a very emotional, romantic story. With no doubt this is my favorite romantic comedy of all time and one of the few movies I can rank a perfect score.
Veed's rating:
The Lethal Weapon series is one of the greatest series of films out there. Crazy action scenes, hilarious moments and the best duo in the history of cinema.
Veed's rating:
The first "Lethal Weapon" movie ranks in my lists as high as these two. However I don't consider it to be in the genre of Comedy as much as these in spite of having its funny moments.
Veed's rating:
Hilarious as always, but with a more touching and dramatic tone. Chaplin in one of his best portrayals of the Tramp (just behind City Lights), with the most interesting female lead and love interest of his movies, in one of his more underrated works, honestly.
Funny and interesting enough, this was his only movie being awarded an Oscar... in this case for Best Music. My favorite movie of the 20's.

Veed's rating:
Regarded by many as one of the funniest movies of all time as Chaplin's funniest work. I don't completely agree, but it's one of the greatest comedies I've watched that's for sure. Slapstick comedy at its best with interesting themes behind it: society's industrialisation and its dependence upon it, the american dream, friendship and determination.
One of my favorite comedies, on my Chaplin's top 3, on my 1930 top 10, a movie worthy of praise for its comedy and intelligence.

Aladdin (1992)
Another memorable movie, the characters are simply genial (ha get it?) and the highest point of this movie is the humour, while having a pretty good story as well. The Genie is one of the most memorable disney characters and the most hilarious thats for sure. It also has great animation and one of the best soundtracks, second only to The Lion King's.
Veed's rating:
Finding Nemo (2003)
Oh my what a cute story in a fast-paced and even thrilling adventure through the ocean! If you ask me, a rare breed of film, one that can mix elements like fantasy, humour, adventure, suspense, drama and fish as main characters with a tremendous force of will (or a forgetful memory!).
Seriously, this movie surprised in an outstanding good way becoming one of my favorite animated movies of all time.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010)
A pleasant surprise, this movie is a genre by itself. One of the most inventive and original movies I've seen recently, let alone hilarious! Most of the jokes are just too funny! Not to mention the huge entertainment value of this movie with all the fighting, romance, and stuff!
Seriously one of the best this year, if not just for the well-done innovation alone.

The Legend of Drunken Master (1994)
I've always been a sucker for Martial Arts movies and Jackie Chan, and this one is the best with both elements.
Veed's rating:
It has everything its sequel has, as well as a crazy oldman as a bonus, it just doesn't have its successor's superb, original and crazy final fight.
Veed's rating:
Inspiring and very enjoyable movie, it just didn't touch me as much as I thought it would, I had such high expectations. It still managed to be a wonderful ride.
Veed's rating:
Hot Fuzz (2007)
A crazy comedy mixed with the most exhilarating buddy cop story in recent years. The funny bits are hilarious, the suspense well paced and the action exciting!
Veed's rating:
Dragons Forever (1988)
This movie combines Jackie Chan, Yuen Biao, Sammo Hung, Martial Arts, Comedy and Romance in the most hilarious and crazy fashion you'll see
Veed's rating:
Shaun of the Dead (2004)
A zombie movie with everything a zombie movie should have and it still manages to be a parody of itself! Hilarious beyond words and with plenty of zombie goodness!
Veed's rating:
The Great Dictator (1940)
Far from my favorite Chaplin movie and it still manages to be one of the best comedies of all time. This is Chaplin doing what he has always done best, with a voice!
Veed's rating:
The weakest of the series. Still it has all the elements that make these movies great enternaiment.
Veed's rating:
This was unexpectedly original. Not like anything I have seen before, even among musicals, and I was already familiarized with the famous singing in the rain scene. It was still a great surprise and a very entertaining movie. Gene Kelly was a phenomenal artist.
Veed's rating:
The Kid (1921)
Endearing and funny, this is one of Chaplin's great works, and what the films of the genre want to be.
Veed's rating:
Another Chaplin's amazing movie. Not one of my favorites, but a great movie, hilarious and original by itself.
Veed's rating:
Snatch (2000)
Guy Richie's way of blending comedy with crime while adding very odd characters make for very entertaining movies!
Veed's rating:
This movie is VERY funny! The war and the meeting of the dog and the bear scenes have got to be some of the funniest moments in film history!
This is quality entertainment, especially if watched with a group of friends!

Veed's rating:
The Rundown (2003)
Another cool and stylish movie. This one is for pure entertainment.
Veed's rating:
Beverly Hills Cop (1984)
A very funy police and crime story with Eddy Murphy at his best.
Veed's rating:
Raising Arizona (1987)
Now this is what a call entertainment! Odd characters, black comedy and a great plot!
Veed's rating:
Safety Last! (1923) (1923)
A great comedy with a very interesting and original concept for its time and even for today. It is also a movie that in my honest opinion did not aged.
Veed's rating:
One of my favorite mixes of comedy and romance. There's a lot of laughing and smiling in this movie, as well as much more depth than in most movies of its kind.
Veed's rating:
The Philadelphia Story (1940)
Greatest cast I've seen in the 40's. The characters are flawed, but incredibly likable and the actors make them come to life with a contagious energy. In all honesty, there's no romantic comedy like this.
This movie was definitely the trigger for my passion of Jimmy Stewart.

Veed's rating:
The General (1926)
This is one of those movies that are not done today anymore. This movie is a genre by itself, I guess Buster Keaton, like Chaplin, has a very special touch that makes his movies original and different than the others.
Veed's rating:
No doubt, the greatest short done by Chaplin. This movie is a laughs bursting machine from beginning to end!
Veed's rating:
Shrek 2 (2004)
This movie is breathtaking! It doesn't give you a break in laughs or thrilling action! And it even throws some romance to the mix! One of my favorites.
Veed's rating:
Ice Age: The Meltdown (2006)
A great movie with spectacular characters! Each one and every one very funny and unique. The animals' quest is what makes the movie so interesting and it managed to end in a very emotional way. Worthy of being seen by anyone.
Veed's rating:
Zombieland (2009)
While Shaun of the Dead is more of a parody of the genre, this movie is still a zombie movie with elements of horror comedy, and that makes it very entertaining.
