Maybe I just expected a bit too much from this movie. There was a massive hype machine going for The Hangover. Everyone called it the funniest film in years, and then when I saw it I could only say "meh." The movie is more or less a basic bachelor party-comedy, but instead of using your average chronological narrative, it shows the morning after. "Re-watch - Dec. 20th Watching The Hangover now it doesn't quite reach the same highs as it did in the theatre with an audience. It's possible that it's just better watched with others versus alone, but some of the jokes in it don't work for me anymore. Overall it's entertaining of course, but I'm not sure why I thought it was great instead of just a solid comedy."
