Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - PC Games
Notes: I used to play this at the friend's house and I thought it was awesome. I love the movie and this game just followed this great adventure. A great game.

johanlefourbe's rating:

Prince of Persia - PC Games
Notes: Same as above, I used to play this at my friend's house and I thought it was awesome. The animation may seem awkward nowadays but back then it was quite revolutionary. A very nice game.

johanlefourbe's rating:

Super Mario World - Super famicom and SNES
Notes: Another classic. My favorite Mario adventure. I spent hours on this one aswell. Yoshi was introduced in this game and became afterwards a huge star.

johanlefourbe's rating:

F-Zero - Super famicom and SNES
Notes: It was also one of the first game released on the Super Nintendo. The graphics, animation and music were very good. You could really feel the speed. A very fun game.

johanlefourbe's rating:

Pilotwings - Super famicom and SNES
Notes: This one is rather forgotten nowadays. It was one of the first game released on the Super Nintendo and I just loved the concept. A very original game.

johanlefourbe's rating:

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - Super famicom and SNES
Notes: Maybe the best Zelda game ever made. A great adventure and a very enjoyable game. I spent hours on this one.

johanlefourbe's rating:

Super Mario Kart - Super famicom and SNES
Notes: I spent hours on this one. Nowadays, we are very familiar with the concept but, back then, it was really new. Some great fun and my favorite mario kart version.

johanlefourbe's rating:

Street Fighter II - Super famicom and SNES
Notes: Back then, I bought the Japanese version for 100 euros because I didn't want to wait for the European version. A great classic and it remains one of my favorite games.

johanlefourbe's rating:

Out of This World - Super famicom and SNES
Notes: I guess everyone has forgotten this game but I didn't! A great adventure with a revolutionary animation. The only low point is that it was too short!

johanlefourbe's rating:

Flashback: The Quest for Identity - Super famicom and SNES
Notes: Similar to "Out of This world" in style, I was more a fan of "Out of this world" but Flashback was more famous. It indeed had better graphics and animation and the adventure was quite fascinating aswell.

johanlefourbe's rating:

NBA Jam - Super famicom and SNES
Notes: it was not as good as the arcade game but it was so much fun. Maybe my favorite multiplayer game. You could have 4 players playing alltogether (something completely new at the time).

johanlefourbe's rating:

Super Bomberman - Super famicom and SNES
Notes: Another great multiplayer game. Difficult to chose between this one, Mario kart and NBA Jam for the best multiplayer game. As NBA Jam, you could have 4 players. Loads of fun.

johanlefourbe's rating:

Sim City - Super famicom and SNES
Notes: Such a huge a classic. It is now kind of legendary. I spent hours on this one, building a huge city and getting those annoying traffic jams....

johanlefourbe's rating:

Lemmings - Super famicom and SNES
Notes: Back then, it was a huge phenomenom. A classic great game. I spent hours trying to figure out all those damned puzzles....

johanlefourbe's rating:

Donkey Kong Country - Super famicom and SNES
Notes: It was released in the last years of the Super Nintendo and they basically gave everything they got. Back then, it was really revolutionary with its gorgeous 3D graphics and animation. It was a very fun game and I spent many hours on this one.

johanlefourbe's rating:

Sonic the Hedgehog - Sega Genesis and Mega Drive
Notes: Back then, I was a fan of Sonic. I guess I'm still a fan of Sonic who is, in my opinion, much more fun than Mario. It's a pity that Sega lost the "Video game" war and don't make any console anymore. Back in the 90's, it was unthinkable to imagine a Sega game on a Nintendo platform or a game combining Mario and Sonic.

johanlefourbe's rating:

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 - Sega Genesis and Mega Drive
Notes: I first played this at a friend's house and years later I got myself a Megadrive with those 3 games. Sega improved the music/graphics/animation and the game was still very addictive. This time, you could even have 2 players playing at the same time.

johanlefourbe's rating:

Sonic & Knuckles - Sega Genesis and Mega Drive
Notes: The last Sonic game I remember playing on the Megadrive (did I play Sonic 3? don't remember...). Again a very cool game.

johanlefourbe's rating:

Disney's Aladdin - Sega Genesis and Mega Drive
Notes: Back in those days, they didn't make exactly the same game on all the platforms. The Super Nintendo Aladdin was pretty good but this one was just great. I wished I played it more because it had gorgeous graphics and animation.

johanlefourbe's rating:

Road Rash - Sega Genesis and Mega Drive
Notes: I just loved this game. riding some bikes, buying some bikes, kicking some asses.... Just some great fun !

johanlefourbe's rating:

Ridge Racer - PlayStation
Notes: Finally, at some point, I traded the good old Super Nintendo for a brand new Playstation (later A.K.A. Playstation 1). My first game was Ridge Racer. Even if there was only 1 track (so cheap...), I just loved this game and spent hours playing it.

johanlefourbe's rating:

Destruction Derby - PlayStation
Notes: I'm pretty sure everybody forgot this game but it was so f*cking awesome! I will never forget the sight of the huge "360!" on your screen meaning you just crashed your opponent and got the maximum points. There was a sequel which was much more realistic but not as fun as this one. A great game.

johanlefourbe's rating:

Wipeout - PlayStation
Notes: A huge classic. A beautiful game which really gave you the feeling you were floating in the air. Definitely an original driving game. Loved it and spent hours trying to manage the tricky controls.

johanlefourbe's rating:

Resident Evil - PlayStation
Notes: My favorite Playstation game. I spent hours playing this with my brother in the dark. The mood was just great. I finished this one, number 2 and number 3 as well. The sequels were nice and better on a technical level but my favorite remains the 1st one because the focus was more on the mood than the action/shooting stuff.

johanlefourbe's rating:

Final Fantasy VII - PlayStation
Notes: I didn't spend much time playing this one because I was kind of losing interest in video games back then (girls/party/drinking/smoking shit...you know the drill...). But this game was beautiful and was such a great adventure.

johanlefourbe's rating:

GoldenEye 007 - Nintendo 64
Notes: Back in those days, my little brother decided to switch the good old Playstation 1 for a Nintendo 64. I was never really happy with this choice and the only 2 games I remember really enjoying on this machine were GoldenEye and Mario Kart 64. I used to play Goldeneye with 3 of my buddies and we had a awesome time, killing each other...

johanlefourbe's rating:

Mario Kart 64 - Nintendo 64
Notes: There is a big debat about which Mario Kart is the best, the one on the Super Nintendo or the one on the Nintendo 64 ? Difficult to choose, but there was a definite improvement and it was the possibility to have 4 players playing at the same time! Like Goldeneye, I used to play this with my 3 buddies and we had a blast...

johanlefourbe's rating:

Final Match Tennis - TurboGrafx-16 and PC Engine
Notes: I know, it looks pretty ugly but it is actually a really awesome game. It is a rather unknown game nowadays but it is actually one of the best tennis games ever conceived with some amazing controls.

johanlefourbe's rating:

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver - PC Games
Notes: We played this at a friend's house a couple of nights. It was quite difficult to find your way but the story was just fascinating and I just love the mood of the game.

johanlefourbe's rating:

Virtua Tennis - Sega Dreamcast
Notes: I played it only a couple of times on Dreamcast but I was completely hooked right away. I may buy a Dreamcast one day just to play this game all day long. My favorite sport game.

johanlefourbe's rating:

Grand Theft Auto III - PlayStation 2
Notes: One of my favorite games of all the time. Even though I never owned a Playstation 2, I played this game like crazy until I finished it. A great game with a lot of liberty. You could do whatever you wanted for a while and then get back to the mission if you felt like it. A great concept.

johanlefourbe's rating:

Need for Speed: Underground - GameCube
Notes: Before getting a Nintendo Wii, we had for a while a Nintendo GameCube. It was nice but I didn't play on it that much. The only game I really spent some time on was Need for Speed: Underground. It was completely unrealistic but a lot of fun!

johanlefourbe's rating:

Rayman: Raving Rabbids - Nintendo Wii
Notes: I was badly addicted to this game... I played like crazy and almost finished it. I just love the concept, the graphics/animation and the mood of the game...and it was made by some French dudes !!!

johanlefourbe's rating:

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock - Nintendo Wii
Notes: My last addiction. I bought it thinking "I'm going to play a couple of times for fun and put it away forever". I ended up playing everyday at least 1 hour for 6 months (Seriously...). My wife got pretty mad and couldn't wait for me to stop. I just couldn't. I had to master all those songs... Anyway, I bought World Tour but even if it was fun, the track list started to deviate too much from Classic Rock to Pop songs such as "Beat it", "Spiderwebs",... I still play it from time to time.

johanlefourbe's rating:

UFC 2009 Undisputed - PlayStation 3
Notes: Following my project "try to socialize, make some friends!", 2 colleagues of mine came to my place with a Playstation to do some gaming. It has been a while for me and I don't know if I will do this often (I don't like people!) but we have done it twice and it was pretty cool! Our favorite game was...UFC ! I thought it would be pretty lame but we had such a laugh playing against each other or, should I say, beating the sh*t out of each other! Great fun...

(man, that's what 'm talking about...)

johanlefourbe's rating:

DiRT 2 - PlayStation 3
Notes: During those gaming evenings (see comment above), we played Gran Turismo 5 but honestly, I wasn't really impressed. Allright, it looks pretty good, there are loads of cars, options, stuff, whatever,... but it was kinda boring... On the other hand, I was really impressed by Colin McRae:DiRT2. It looked gorgeous and the way you could totally smash your car was really awesome. A great game!

johanlefourbe's rating:

Clash of Clans - Android
Notes: Nowadays, I still have a Wii but, to be honest, I can't remember the last time I played on the damned thing. In fact, it's not even plugged to my TV anymore! My wife did mention a couple of times that we could buy something else but I don't see the point of spending more than 400 euro for the latest Nintendo Switch, Playstation or Xbox. Instead, nowadays, like millions of other people, I play games on my smartphone. Most of them are rather forgettable and riddled with commercials so I keep switching games every few weeks but this game was the exception though. Indeed, for some reasons, I really played it almost everyday for at least 4 years. To be honest, I'm not sure why I kept playing for so long, I think it was more because it had become a habit than a real enjoyment but it was still easily one of the best games I have played on my smartphone. Still, I had to quit at some point because the damned thing is after all so slow and repetitive.

johanlefourbe's rating:

Clash Royale - Mobile
Notes: A couple of weeks ago, it was time again to install a new game on my smartphone and I thought 'why not give this one another try?'. To be honest, I was pretty sure that I would quit really quickly but it has been quite fun so far. Still, pretty much like 'Clash of Clans', it is still pretty damned slow and repetitive and I don't think I will keep it playing for so long though.

(Sorry, it's a Dutch video but it was actually after watching this video with my daughter that I decided to try this game again...)
