Multiple Personality Disorder
People creating alter-egos. Usually evil alter-egos!
Psycho (1960)
The father of all of them. Half horror and half thriller, if you love at least one of those genres you gotta watch it. Anthony Perkins' gaze in the end is just fantastic

The Machinist (2004)
One of my favourite movies. Trevor's alter-ego owns the right amount of creepiness and the plot is knotty without turning confusing or annoying.

Secret Window (2004)
This one was a nice surprise: it starts a little slowly and you think nothing is happening, but then it becomes more and more interesting and engaging.
Not the most original, if you've watched a couple of these movies you can guess it all after 20 minutes, but it's still a nice movie and Stephen King's touch is always a pleasure.

Shutter Island (2010)
I dare say "Shutter Island" should become another modern classic, but actually I haven't heard many people talking about it. I think it's a little underrated, so just go and watch it and love it!

Did I Really Do It?
People who don't remember they did certain things.
The Number 23 (2007)
Super mindfuck! I was watching this movie with my mouth open wide trying to understand something, it really captured me. Plus it confirmed Jim Carrey as a not-only-comedy great actor.

Gothika (2003)
I was a little demotivated about this one because I had read everywhere that it was a bad movie, instead I really liked it. Of course it's not the most innovative, but it makes your night!

winonaraiden's rating:

Memento (2000)
The biggest mindfuck movie in this list. You will have to watch it more than once to fully understand it.
Not my favourite though.

The Shining (1980)
I'm sure many people would agree with me if I say this is one of the few cases of "movie-better-than-the-book" (sorry Mr. King, I know you hate this film).
It is more than 30 years old, I've seen it many many times and it still thrills me!

The Others (2001)
There's also a half of "secret idendities" in this, but I decided to put it in this section because killing your kids and don't remembering it sounds kinda creepy.

Secret Identities
And suddenly, you find out you don't know so well the person you used to think you perfectly knew!
A History of Violence (2005)
I won't write anything about this becaue the spoiler is just behind the corner.
But I can say that it's a really really good movie, I love it.

The Sixth Sense (1999)
Spoiler alert behind the corner here too!
"The Sixth Sense" is another 5star movie, it still thrills me, unfortunately Shyamalan never made another one as good as this, but I guess it's hard when you start from the top.

winonaraiden's rating:

Jacob's Ladder (1990)
This movie is often described as perverted, disturbing, full of gross monsters and so on.. Actually the scenes with monsters are not so many, but "Jacob's Ladder" is still a good and creepy movie!
Thumbs up for the scene where he is carried through an asylum full of strange and gory people.
Did you know? It seems that "Silent Hill"'s creator were inspired by this movie in the creation of their videogames.

All In My Mind
People who dreams of doing stuff they don't
I really love psychological thrillers with people imagining other people and finding out they're just a second themselves.
Or with people who are found out to have a second life or a second identity.
So here's a list with that kind of movie, it may be a little spoiler but most of those movies are worth to watch anyway.
Note: here I'm listing only movies that can be included in psychological thriller\horror and note genres such as spy movies because in that case the "secret identities" section would be infinite!
