The Train: Kyiv - War" is a full-length documentary film directed by Korniy Gricyuk. The dramatic history of the Kyiv-Kostyantynivka train, with its passengers' unique fates, pain, memories, secrets, hopes, is a history of today Ukraine. Only 12.5 hours away from peaceful Kyiv is Kostyantynivka, a small industrial city in the eastern part of the country, immediately after which the front begins. This entire time people with different characters, social status, political views, and beliefs are traveling on the train side by side. They talk, debate, even quarrel, but speak to each other and go in a common direction. And what's important, they all want to get to peace. This film is the voice of ordinary people, the search for dialogue and the path to a common future, where everyone's voice will be heard.

Vadim is twenty-two. He's a sound engineer and a downer. He's going to Canada in three months. Forever. Before the departure he's assigned to record the voice of a very rare bird, which dwells only in the Transcarpathian mountains of Ukraine.

Personal videos from the phones, camcorders, cameras and GoPros of Ukrainian soldiers are woven into a surreal journey to the front line of the war with Russia. The film shows a bizarre world whose laws are quite different from what we are used to. The behavior is different, the relationships unfold differently and the humour takes on different notes. The heroes wake up and fall asleep, rejoice and cry, always feeling that the recording may end at any moment.

The fighters survive thanks to the help of the locals and manage to break out through the front line to reach the freed territory. Taras Kostanchuk who is playing himself as 'Beshoot' is that same Donbas commander who is the prototype of the story. Half of the actors and extras are real 'Donbas' volunteers who survived the battle.

Stealing the earring from the Tsar was tricky; stealing it from the Cossacks is impossible, however hard Ivan tries to to get into their good graces. It does not help that Koshovy's right-hand man, Nazar, doesn't trust Ivan. He is also suspicious (and for a good reason) of Ivan's intentions towards Nazar's beloved Mariana. Can this get worse? It can - when the Tsar's most merciless henchman, Fedor, decides to chase and punish the thief of the heirloom personally. And the earring? - You will discover it holds more than one secret.

His wife Marusya is concerned about the future of their two adult sons, who are looking for suitable brides.
