CHARLIE CHAPLIN
- A JOURNEY WITH THE TRAMP -
"Naturalness is the greatest requisite of comedy. It must be real and true to life. I believe in realism absolutely. Real things appeal to the people far quicker than the grotesque. My comedy is actual life, with the slightest twist or exaggeration, you might say, to bring out what it might be under certain circumstances."- Charlie Chaplin
Swing little girl,
Swing high to the sky,
And don't ever look at the ground,
If you're looking for rainbows,
Look up to the sky,
You'll never find rainbows,
If you're looking down.
Life may be dreary,
But never the same,
Some day it's sunshine,
Some day it's rain.
Swing little girl,
Swing high to the sky,
And don't ever look to the ground,
If you're looking for rainbows,
Look up to the sky,
But never, no never look down.

This propaganda film uses unused footage from 'His New Profession' (1914), 'A Jitney Elopement' (1915), 'The Tramp' (1915), and 'By the Sea' (1915). It's unlikely that Chaplin had any involvement in the making of the film.
