The Debt (2010)

DVD- 1hr. 54min.
First Viewing
The story doesn't do much to keep you invested, but the cast is very strong; especially Chastain and Mirren.

Hanna (2011)

DVD- 1hr. 51min.
First Viewing
There's some solid action, the cast is strong and it's a much more thoughtful actioner than most, but it plods along from one scene to the next, without ever engaging the audience.

Take Shelter (2011)

Michael Shannon does give a hell of a performance, but the movie was just too dull for me. It did occasionally make the best of it's unique premise.

A Dangerous Method (2011)

DVD- 1hr. 40min.
First Viewing
Just really boring. Yeah the cast is good, but really who cares? Its not that interesting.

Abduction (2011)

DVD- 1hr. 40min.

Really not good. The supporting cast is loaded with talent, but are given nothing but horrible, stilted dialogue to deliver to an unconvincing Taylor Lautner. Poorly edited, written, and directed; weren't you a director once John Singleton?

Shame (2011)

DVD- 1hr. 41min.
First Viewing
It does get dull at times, but Steve McQueen's stark look at sex addiction is never less than compelling. Carrey Mulligan gives a nice supporting performance, but the movie is Fassbender's, and he owns it with a restrained, layered performance. I'm still not sure how he didn't get an Oscar nod.

Hop (2011)

DVD- 1hr. 37min.
First Viewing
Typical family film, and by that I mean it'll annoy the hell out of adults and satisfy a screaming child with a low attention span.
BradWesley123's rating:

Carnage (2011)

DVD- 1hr. 20min.
First Viewing
Well acted, but ultimately pointless. Never very interesting ever happens, and the characters just belittle each other. Feels long at only 80 minutes.

Everything Must Go (2011)

DVD- 1hr. 37min.
First Viewing
Solid indie dramedy featuring one of Will Ferrell's better performances. It's nothing earthshattering, but it's enjoyable.
