Freeware Games & Open Source projects
- not sure where to go with this list - kinda stuck on how to expand it, and what to include / not include

Evolution of FPS: A history of First-Person Shooters, from the very beginning to the latest and greatest.
- have most of notes scribbled up, just need to finish it up and polish it. Posting it here to give ideas to others on other unique list ideas.

4X Games: 4X stands for eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, eXterminate - and if all four of these conditions are met, it falls into this unique genre. Greatest example is Civilization series. Plan on making this a complete list of every single 4X game out there, for those wishing to play god.

Classic DOS Series: tried to make this into a list of lists series, but seems a bit redundant. Not sure if its worthwhile to pursue.

Dungeons & Dragons - Console games: a list of all D&D games to hit consoles. Might just kill this list and merge them into my other two PC D&D lists, D&D Classics and D&D Modern.

* Also have idea for a list on the greatest racing simulator design group, Papyrus.

Major Game series that are missing

If you want to contribute by making some of these lists, let me know, I can help get you started on how to make a good list. Here's some list ideas for games that would greatly benefit from having proper lists:

If a list you're attempting to make is a big mess with tons of duplicate entries, missing covers, etc, drop me a PM and I'll merge them up and clean the entries up for you, and then you can easily make a good list afterwards.

If there's a list you want to see but hasn't been made yet, please make one, or ask here for one and maybe someone will create one. Command & Conquer is called for by Gunza Blazin.

This thread is also meant to showcase who owns which list, which ones are complete and final with notes, and which ones are simply lists, and if Tom gives us a way to add extra editors to some of these lists, we can use this thread as reference.

p.p.s. the 'Major' and 'Minor' game series has nothing to do with how big the list is, or how great the games are. Its mainly based on Listal's popularity of its games. Popular game series are 'major', while games that aren't listed much by our members are considered 'minor' games series. Critical reception of its games by review sites, or sales figures, do not come into play.

Just finished Ultima and Ultima Online basic lists.

Forget about this great thread I had running. Anyways, I recently spiced up my Quest for Glory series list, and will try to catch up this list with all relevant new additions done in past 6 months.

Hey Prelude I did that Lego list, Mortal Kombat list and Tony Hawk.

a lot of these games, i've played, but my god the number i havn't is almost overwhelming! this is an excellent game list and i applaud it. granted you can't hear me, but i applaud anyways.

i'll have to look a second time to see them all.
