 Prince of Persia series Action-platformer franchise with an Arabian Nights motif which involve a lone prince jumping and battling his way through dungeons and other settings in order to accomplish his quest. The initial three were generally considered the magnum opus of designer Jordan Mechner; in recent years the franchise has been revived for contemporary gaming audiences.         There is also an upcoming motion picture due for a 2010 release: Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
