The series takes place in the fictional metropolis of Megakat City, which is populated entirely by anthropomorphic felines who are just like people, known as "kats". The titular SWAT Kats are two vigilante pilots who possess a state-of-the-art fighter jet with an array of weaponry. Throughout the series, they face various villains as well as Megakat City's militarized police force, the Enforcers.

"8.3. Man, I wish I had seen this as a kid. Swat Kats is still awesome comic book style action cartoon with all the good stuff, like furries, mad doctors, robots, giant monsters, aliens and other cliches. The animation is actually really damn well made, especially on season 2 where they outsourced the production solely to Japan and got in some obvious anime influences as well, even the writing went more mature and better.
