This series was really the first anime I ever watched. I was at Anime Expo 2002 with a friend and we watched three episodes and I immediately got back home and started collecting, only to be pissed when after the last dvd came out they brought out the hardcore box set for WAY less. "Excel Saga is one of the funniest animes I've ever watched. Although I do find it to be offensive at time especially the last episode, I find its humor to be very over-the-top and even clever at times with how it makes fun of anime itself. I highly recommend if you are looking for a funny anime."
