This is a typical example of a guilty pleasure. Indeed, it is a rather stupid and predictable plot but I still thought it was rather entertaining. I have a really weak spot for Gene Hackman and without him, I would have probably not much enjoyed this movie. It is such a shame that he retired from the movie industry.
