Fall 2020 Viewings (40 movies items)

"Format: Streaming Viewing: 1st Thoughts: As a huge fan of the Inbetweeners series, I was pleasantly surprised when I came across this the other night on streaming. This is a sleeper comedy hit, easily one of the funniest movies I've seen recently. I feel like this type of humor walks the line between smart comedy and gross out, and somehow it always delivers. Disappointed not seeing other cast members from Inbetweeners, but Claudia O'Doherty from Judd Apatow's Love series makes up for it. She al"

A New Decade! A New Year! Movies Watched In 2020 (641 movies items)

"After Nickโ€™s girlfriend dumps him, his best mate Shane has the perfect antidote to his break-up blues: three days at an epic music festival. The Inbetweeners' Joe Thomas (playing basically the same character as he did in the sitcom) stars in this fine comedy. It was kind of what was expected. Plenty of amusing moments in there and was an easy watch. It made me wish that all of the Inbetweeners cast was in this movie as it did lack strong comic characters. It was enjoyable enough though and ha"

"From the makers of The Inbetweeners comes a film not too dissimilar from the hit TV series, as Joe Thomas stars as Nick, a man dumped on his graduation who is dragged to a music festival. Full of jokes about drugs, sex and bodily functions, the film works best when it isn't trying to be rude and Thomas makes Nick a likeable anti-hero. Not as funny as the Inbetweeners but it will do."
